2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by [Name and address of your hosting company]. When you open a page, data is automatically stored in server log files: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, browser type and operating system. This keeps the site secure and stable (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The files are normally deleted after 30 days at the latest. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting company.
3. Contact form and email
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we process the details you provide (name, email address, message) in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps before a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted once your enquiry is settled, unless we must keep it by law.
4. Quote requests and files
If you send a request through the “Request a Quote” form, we process the details about your company, yourself (name, business email, optionally phone and website) and your project, as well as any files you upload such as tech packs or photos. We use this data to review your request, clarify questions and prepare a quotation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Uploaded files are stored in a protected area accessible only to our team. Where needed for pricing, we share project details with suitable manufacturing partners; personal contact details only where necessary to handle your order. The data is deleted when it is no longer needed for this purpose, unless we must keep it by law.
5. Downloads (checklists and templates)
To download free material we ask for your name, email address and company. We use these details to send you the file and, where appropriate, to contact you once about the topic (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). The download link is valid for seven days. You can object to any further use at any time — an email is enough.
7. Newsletter (double opt-in)
The newsletter is only sent after your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). After signing up you receive an email with a confirmation link; only then are you added to the list. We store the email address and the times of sign-up and confirmation. Every email contains an unsubscribe link; your data is deleted when you use it.
8. Cookies and local storage
We only set statistics and marketing cookies, and use similar technologies, with your consent through our cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, section 25(1) TDDDG); you can withdraw it at any time. WordPress sets technically necessary cookies, for example when you log in or leave a comment. For your convenience, the details you type into the download form are stored locally in your browser (localStorage); that data never leaves your device and can be cleared in your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for details.
9. Fonts and external content
All fonts are loaded from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or comparable services. External content is only loaded when you actively open it.
10. Spam protection
To protect the forms from automated entries we briefly process the IP address (stored shortened or hashed) and technical characteristics of the submission. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in abuse-free operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
11. Your rights
You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. A message to [your@email.com] is enough. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
12. Changes
We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here always applies.
